We got up this morning and decided to do some camping/fishing. We eventually decided to see what Scooteney was like, so we headed over there. The lake looked nice and the camp ground was (A++++++). Lots of area to fish, we fished below the spillway and caught several 12'' walleye (to small) and a couple of 12'' smallmouth. Lots of undersized walleye in that area. Then we fished around the docks at the campground and caught a nice 8 3/4'' bluegill, some smaller ones, and some bullheads and alot of 2'' bass. fishing shure could have been better though, not much else being caught by other people. Was told the walleye do well in November. We left sunday morning to find more productive waters. Went to Hutchensen. caught some bluegill, a small perch, and serveral 12'' lrgm bass. still not the best lake in my mind though i know this lake has some nice size fish. spring fishing is probably the best time to fish this lake because of the weeds. we then checked out redrock (nothing). went down the road to this pond that had the big powerlines going over it. there was so much arching from those lines that the metel on my reel was actually shocking me pretty good. but i did manage to take two fat 12'' lrgm bass. went to buckshot to look at the area water. but the water level was down and almost gone from this area. headed home feeling the fishing could have been better but the weekend weather was nice. i'll stick with the quincy lakes and probably the wastways this summer. <')////<
