Decided to give Pass a try today. I've always had mixed feelings about this lake, but decided it worth another go. Some fellow exiting the lake had a couple hits on a white zonker, under a sink tip. I started with a black bugger on a full sinking line. nothing. Went to a brown hale-bopp, nothing. Didn't have white, so I tried a yellow bugger, perch pattern. Got my first fish in 2 minutes. Went on to catch 5 more 10" bows with this pattern in 23' of cold water. Had to beeline for the car to warm up. After reentering the water caught 2 more, decided to troll in for the day - and wham, an infamous 16" Pass Lk 'bow plowed into my yellow bugger. Nice red stripe all they way, and over the gill plate. I am now a Pass Lk, believer (and this was January, in cold conditions). For those who may not know, Pass Lk is so named due to its close proximity to Deception Pass. Pass is a fly fishing only lake and this is strictly enforced.
