Great hour or so on the lake started catching bass as soon as we left the launch. Not the best day of fishing on this lake but a great one caught about 7 bass in an hour biggest about 3.7lbs nice fight them big smallies put up. Smallest fish about a pound. All fish released. Please remember there is a slot limit on bass, if you want to catch big fish you need to fallow the rules they are there for a reason. Normaly you wouldnt be hearing this from me but I seen a guy at the launch fishing from shore who caught a nice smallie about 15 inches. It was fine untill i saw him put the fish on a stringer and decide to keep him. There are plenty of little fish to keep and eat. In my opinion the little ones taste better anway. Hope that guy stumbles across this report. The rules can change every year and in the middle of the season. This is some thing I wasnt taught as a kid and had to learn a few years ago. Ignorance isnt an excuse I learned from personal expierience luckly I was handed a regs pamphlet instead of a ticket. So please respect the fisheries in our beautiful state. stay current with the regs and enjoy fishing for many years to come. If we want fish for or kids and grand kids its up to us to lead the way.
