Thought I'd treat my Dad (58) and nephew (11) to a day on the lake fishing for Kokanee. Since they're both from Alaska and haven't fished on a lake for trout in a very long time, I thought it would be nice to go out and give it a try. Hit the lake around 6:30am. Only three trucks and trailers in the lot, probably because it was very overcast and windy. Launched from Speelyai Bay and headed out around the point to the 100' depth and put our lines in. We fished for about 5-6 hours all throughout the lake and ended the day with 4 Kokanee in the boat. They were small, in the 10-12" range, but with light tackle, were a hoot to catch. My dad also caught the most Squawfish at 6, which we promptly threw back. All in all, it turned out to be a great day on the lake with my dad and nephew.

Probably would have been a lot better if the wakeboarders and jetskiiers had a little manners and would have played at the other end of the lake instead of right through the middle of all the fishing boats!!!!
