Well it was so nice out and I had nothing better to do, so went down to battle ground lake to wet a line. got out there about 12 and walked around to my favorite spot and started fishing off the bottom with mallows and worms. it didn't take long for the nice 5#rs to start jumping and cruising around the shallows. I hate it when they just want tease you rather than please you!! Anyway I was there for 3 hours and tried everything in the arsenal, worms, power bait, salmon eggs, lures, off the bottom and with a bobber. Didn't catch a dang thing. the only person catching anything was a guy out in his float tube fly fishing with a wooly bugger. I would have brought my fly rod, but it is kinda difficult to cast with all the trees. Oh well. all in all it was a nice day, and a great way to relax.
