Re: Green River Water Levels

I wouldn't go right. You have to cross a side channel that gets pretty deep with lots of big floating logs. Very sketchy. I crossed it last year and told myself I wouldn't do it again. Another place to try if Metzler is too crowded is Flaming Geyser by the rc airplane field. You'll need a discover p...

Where's a good general area to target early winter steelhead? I have the whole week of Thanksgiving off and want to fish.

Re: Duwamish Coho?

Float or drift eggs during an outgoing morning tide at the 112th street access.

Upriver, try to to intercept fish as they migrate through an hour after high tide.

Re: Looks like the Snohomish is finally getting a new ramp

They postponed the ramp because of the OSO mudslide. Snohomish county had to divert money to cleanup. Same thing happened with a campground that was supposed to get built on the Skykomish in Sultan. Looks like the county finally has the funding again to build these projects.

Re: Curing Eggs for fall salmon

Wow, this looks like a great cure to try out thanks for making the video! Couple of questions. First, where can I find the powdered shrimp scent you use and second, will this cure also work on Skykomish Steelhead (maybe dont add the Firecure?) Or do you recommend something different for that.
Thanks!!

Re: Green/Duwamish Coho

Lots of access but you need to look at google maps and do some research. Grab a bicycle and start riding the Green River Trail, you'll find places.

Here's a good place to start from the bank.

Re: West Seattle

I caught two in a 15 minute period about 2 hours before low tide on Saturday. Saw about 25 caught all between a 2 hour time frame. Fish the outgoing tide. Dont bother with the incoming tide, you won't catch anything.

Re: Lake Wenatchee or Fish lake?

At Fish lake the "car topper" launch your referring to is a WDFW access located on the Northeast side of the lake at the end of a 2 mile long rough dirt road. If you want to launch a trailered boat you'll need to go to the Cove resort to put it in and yeah the Resort owner charges $5.00 to launch.

Hood Canal Clamming: Dosewallips vs Duckabush.

Hello forum members. So I Was planning on taking my family over to Hood Canal this weekend for some clams and oysters. Usually we go to Dosewallips but I just saw that WDFW isn't opening it this year until April 1st. I've never been to Duckabush but was thinking about going there instead since it is...

Re: Burke vs Quincy Lake

Its not on the WDFW website but i believe that Burke was stocked by the Quincy Valley Tourism Association at the end of February for the March 2nd trout derby they held. There's probably still a fair amount of planters in there. I've always had better luck with Burke than Quincy lake. A couple years...

Re: Northern Pike Fishing

The Pend Oreille river in North Eastern Washington (North of Spokane) is also a great place to fish for Pike. Its actually a reservoir formed by Boundary Dam near The Canadian/Washington border.
