RE:catching and eating carp!!!!
Carp are really bad in the Madison area of wisconsin.. They are a junk fish and in some places they would put Barrels out for people to throw them in . Which would be picked up every few days .. Was a Great Idea I thought.. The smell was not something to be relished though lol... They can grow to be...

RE:The line you use for diferent fish??
For crappie I normally do 4lb test ,But thats my prefrence. Heck I would even go lighter but the thing is .. I always seem to catch bigger fish as well.. 5-6 lb smallies even some lunker tripaloids.. As long as you can keep them out of the pads or deep weeds you can catch about anything on 4lb test ...

RE:Helgramites
You name it you can probaly catch it on helgramites.. I have caught pike walleye on them even.. But I use them mainly for perch, Bluegill , crappie. In the summer in Wi ..perch cannot resist them and neither can gills ..ect .. From what I know they live in the water till they molt into dragon flys.....

RE:Helgramites
No they are not maggots.. They are baby dragonflys. in the larva stage they live in the water at this stage..; They move about by squirting water out the backside. But they also have all their legs already..they are 1-2 inchs in length... they really are an awesome bait if you can find them..

They are a seasonal bait and you end up paying for them but you cannot beat them for catching fish ... If anyone...
