Lots of hiking on the south side of the lake on forest service land. Buy a tribal permit and fish the lake if you have a watercraft. Lots of dolly vardon and sea run cutthroat trout.

just reading back a bit on this thread. Hatchery steelhead are obvious even with a partially cut adipose fin. Look at the dorsal fin in the pic. Condition of the Snake River at Lower Granite Dam
Has anybody fished the Snake at Lower Granite Dam lately? Is it still cardboard colored or has it began to clear up (green color or better). Thanks for any response, I am trying to save a wasted trip to the river if possible.
