RE:Banks Lake Camping
racfish, this is one of those instances where I would have to just laugh and say "go right ahead and sue me". I can see and hear it now! " Please tell the court how you got your fingers broken." (Thief)"Well your honor, I was down on the docks around 2 in the morning, you know, just looking around, ...

RE:Banks Lake Camping
tvh1882, just saw another post on here from someone who stayed at the Coulee City Park and their boat got robbed during the night. Took fishing poles and a tool box so be careful. I suggest you take a couple big rat traps with you and put them in places where a thief might stick his "sticky" fingers...

RE:Banks Lake Camping
The advice given above is pretty right on. City Park in Coulee City is nice and clean but definitely open to the wind. Has a great launch facility and docks but the campsites aren't real close to the water. Steamboat Rock is very nice. Doubt you would get in there now without a reservation but maybe...

RE:palmer and omak lakes camping and launching info?
stryker, I wrote to WDFG and asked the question you had about Palmer Lake. Here is their reply: As stated above, there are approximately 7,938 named lakes, along with over 4,000 named rivers & streams, and more than 7,000 miles of saltwater coastline in Washington State. That said, lakes that are no...

RE:Boat leans with Kicker attached
Maverick, yes, there are other benefits to trim tabs. One is that in choppy water you can bring the bow down and drastically improve the ride. The other is that once installed you can "fine tune" your speed for maximum fuel efficiency. My last boat before the Lund was a 25'Searay. Fully loaded, I co...

RE:Boat leans with Kicker attached
Maverick, the fact that the kicker motor is hanging all the way aft on an outboard extension bracket makes a huge difference. If you didn't have that bracket and the trolling motor was mounted straight to the transom you wouldn't notice it nearly as much. Not suggesting you change that at all! You w...

RE:palmer and omak lakes camping and launching info?
Well, you got my curiosity piqued since I hadn't been there for several years. Seems my memory of even the shape of the lake was wrong! It isn't round, but I did remember that I could see my motorhome from most everywhere I fished. The other tip you got for lodging is a good one. As far as the regs ...

RE:palmer and omak lakes camping and launching info?
If my memory serves me correctly I don't believe there is any lodging on Palmer. None that I remember. The little town of Loomis is close by and you may want to check there? And Styrker, Palmer Lake is a large round lake and you can see the launch from most anywhere on the water. Launching shouldn't...

RE:Rock Lake
I'm hoping you get some answers to your post since I am also interested in learning more about Rock Lake. I searched the area on Google Earth and it appears that there may be a couple spots on the south end of the lake where you could camp if it's legal. Everyone is always talking about the wind the...
