Typically outboards are identical within a horsepower range. Example - 40hp, 45hp, 50hp are all the same engine with minor differences in carburation jetting to acheive different hp ratings. If the BF45 is a 3 cylinder carburated honda, then it is most likely the same as the BF50. I have a 1999 BF50...

All good suggestions. I would add wonder tape (super stretchy stuff that will fix leaky pipes etc). My buddy used it to fix a leaking water separator/filter and it saved a fishing trip.

I would recommend going to the outdoor sportsman show at the Puyallup fairgrounds (I believe it is in February). You will find a variety of welded aluminum boats and you will find several 18 footers priced below $30k. Last year there was a gorgeous 18 foot Raider with a 90hp 4 stroke for around $25K...

I have 2 Scotty 1085 manual downriggers in excellent condition. Downriggers have 30 inch x 1 & 1/4 booms, will easily handle up to 15 lb balls. Downriggers will come with either 250 of new stainless wire or 300 feet of scotty braid (buyers preference). If you are still interested.

smoked trout dip
1/2 cup cream cheese. 1/2 cup sour creme. 8 oz. Smoked trout or salmon. 1 tbl horseradish. 1 tbl finely chopped red onion or shallot. 1 tbl finely chopped parsley. 1 tsp lemon juice. Mix it up in a food processer or blender. Serve with crackers or chips. Enjoy.
