Glad I read this report,
I caught one with this bent tail look in the picture today at Lake Howard in Snohomish.
Any body else ever catch one there?
Hope this is not an on going trend.

Re: Kokanee Trolling Flies
Ya gotta love all those synthetic materials available to us now.
Glow, UV, Mirror,
Nice to make a lure/fly and have it work.
It has been a hobby for me, and
taught me that certain lakes
prefer different colors.
Glow and UV seem to work
every where.

Re: Kokanee or Rain Bow
I have an old humming bird, black and white.
Ive noticed that the kokane show up as larger fish
due to there air bladder being bigger. Took awhile
to figure this out, not sure on newer units.

UV Paint for trout lures
Anybody out there using UV Paint for lures and stuff?
I'm talking about the clear stuff that only turns color in
UV conditions. I've been using it for awhile, with some
success. Has no effect once the sun is up.

Winter blues
Something about march, that gets me wanting to fish again. Oh ya, its the month of pisces. :fish: This warmer weather has been making it harder to stay inside. I hope it keeps up. :sunny: The only thing that keeps me inside is my hands and feet get so cold in temps below 55 degrees. Frost bite is a ...

Re: Lucky catch
If I saw those ladies again fishing, I would give her fishing pole back. Hope to see them again, but seeing 2 ladies fishing in a boat that don't own a house on the lake is very rare. :silent: I think they lived close by, because she went and got another pole and still fished that day. [thumbsup] Un...

Lucky catch
Last week while trout fishing I see 2 ladies fishing by themselves, don't see that very often. [woot] These gals are about 75 yards from the boat launch and I hear a scream. [huh] I look over and this lady telling her friend she had a bite and it took her new pole. [omg] So I'm thinking how big was ...

Re: Kokaee size
Thanks for the replys, I went fishing in a small lake with kokanee in it and was suprised the kokanee were bigger than the stocker trout. They fought better to. They were close to 13 inches but they looked very skinny. :-s Compared to the pictures I have seen on this site these fish looked anorxit. ...

Kokaee size
You would think with a early spring, the Kokanee would be the same size or larger than last year.
From pictures on the reports page, they seem to be smaller?

Re: Martha Lake (Warm Beach)
bodofish, Lake Shoecraft and Goodwin do share a creek and you say a spring. I didnt know that. But the water in the 2 lakes is very different, as far as, how far you can see down into the water. You can see down 10 plus feet in Goodwin, not in Shoecraft. I was answering chromers question on which la...

Re: Newbie fishing lake cavanaugh
Glad to hear I'm not the only one who has struggled to catch fish on this lake. :-s The view is hard to beat. [thumbup] As for the Kokane, look for the fish jumping in the middle of the lake, they tell you where they are. [thumbsup] Sounds like you got the cutthroat figured out, wedding ring lures w...

Clear nonmetal snap swivels
These clear nonmetal snap swivels which are suppose to be invisible in water. Has anyone used them? Is this the first year they came out? How good do they swivel for trolling? Do they break easy? I think these are a good ideal, but I have not tried them yet. I'm worried they wont swivel good enough ...

Fall Trout
I sure love this time of the year for trout fishing. Big fish and no one on the water but me. [woot] I usually don't fish the weekends, that can explain the lack of people. :-k So many people fish the begining of the year, and don't come back for the fall. [omg] I guess people prefer the sa...

Re: Trolling for beginners?
I've been trolling in small lakes for 20 years, in a 10' boat, I love it. Recommend getting a good swivel, don't go cheap on the swivel unless you like changing your line. Wedding rings work great, buy ones with different colors, then you can swap beads, once you figure out what color the lake you f...
