RE:Greetings from Chapter 47
I have gotten out a few times but limited due to weather conditions and the continuing high flows of the Columbia. I went shad fishing last weekend and we absolutely hammered them. I also got out and casted a bit along the banks for some smallies and picked up a few. I may head up to Quincy before t...

RE:Reviving Fish
The gill issue has to do with the way oxygen is exchanged in the system. Most freshwater fish have counter-current flow in their gills to maximize oxygen uptake. This however depends on the flow of oxygenated water coming in from the front and maintaining the system. If you flush them the flow is br...

RE:Open Seat
Just a thought on the location of the different size fish. From my perspective what you are describing is typical behavior of fish that are spawning. Since the tigers are sterile they dont reproduce but that does not mean they dont have the urge and exhibit the same lake orientation. The bigger fish...

So how do you guys fish for the 'eyes in the rivers? I am familiar with night-trolling and bottom bouncing/drifting techniques, anything else I should know about?

Don- I am framing that reply over my desk so I can study it for a while thank you for the great info. I will be coming out May the 12th and leaving on July 18th so looks like I will catch a decent period for fishing. IS the live bait a recent issue of the VHS problem or a standing rule? When you say...
