RE:Help with Lake Stevens please
The Snohomish county park is on Davis street. There is a great fishing pier there, and we saw a lot of trout come in from there. A little know secret is that there is a school of perch and bluegills that hang out on the other side of the boat launch. Just cast out anything shiny with a worm tipped h...

RE:sorry to waste your time
I think I got a bit over sensitive being relatively "new" in a forum that has very few Lady Anglers....That said, sorry I was being such a girl...:joker: I caught that fish in Blackman's Lake in snohomish...more of a pond than a lake....but surprisingly the fish are pretty good size. I go out almost...

Trout Brine??
I am looking to try smoking some trout and was wondering if anyone has a good brine for trout. Do you use the same brine as you would for Salmon? Any info would be great!

RE:So you think that C. pot was stolen?? HA!
Wow, that's pretty crazy. I find it unlikley that the pots made that whole journey without any help from human hands. It's refreshing to know that there are people out there that will try and return found pots!

My uncle lives near Airway Heights, and he has to order his leaches on line. He swears by them for Walleye, but has the same problem. There is a Walleye fishing club right in your area....

RE:Snohomish?
I have been studying like crazy! There is so much information out there it's enough to make a person go nuts! What lures work well in the river? I see everyone stock up on Buzz Bombs of every size, and pink ALWAYS sells out here in Snohomish and Lake Stevens. Any wisdom would be great. Since being s...

RE:Lost/Stolen Crab Pots!!
I usually have a camera with me on the boat, and if I see them again you better believe I will be taking their picture and posting it rather than chasing them down. NOT being in law enforcement there wasn't anything we were going to be able to do anyway. I'm sure they launched out of the Everett mar...

RE:Lost/Stolen Crab Pots!!
Thanks RwR! I appreciate the offer, and may just take you up on that...I saw that HUGE crab you got!:thumleft: We lost the trolling motor when we started the main motor and took off after them. the drag ripped it right off our boat. I don't suggest this to anyone else. If you get your pots picked, j...

RE:red rock crab
when cooking crab I think it's best to boil it in salt water (some water from the sound is good) for at least 20 minutes. If the meat is rubbery at all then it's not done and can be steamed for an aditional 10 minutes. I usually make garlic butter to dip it in after it's cracked.:chef: Sounds like y...

RE:Lost/Stolen Crab Pots!!
I think it was. I really should have paid closer attention to the boat. Funny thing is we noticed it right away when we got out there because it was a smaller boat with 5 or 6 adults in it. I won't be crabbing in that area anymore. Just so others know, it happened at the first green bouy when you ar...

RE:Lost/Stolen Crab Pots!!
Anyone ever catch, or know someone who's caught someone pulling their pots? I caught someone picking my NEW replacement pots yesterday! After having the original 4 stolen not a month ago you can bet I was HOT :rambo: We were in area 8-2 guarding our pots this time, and had drifted just far enough a...

I agree that area 8-2 is probably fished out. I dropped 2 pots for 2 hours and got 1 keeper. Problem is one of my pots was picked. :pale: SO someone got more than one keeper.

I would NOT suggest going to Stevens. Nothing has been bitting there recently..... Blackmans, Flowing, Cassidy all are WAY better. right now. The little lake Cassidy just up the road from Stevens is perfect for tubes and I've seen some nice bass C&R there.

Kinda takes the challenge/skill out of it doesn't it? I wouldn't trust a calander like that if I were you. This area is so diverse I can't see how it could be accurate.....but who knows. Maybe they'll post one and prove me wrong.
