Re: Snoqualmie still blown?
Thanks for the update! I don't think there was even 6 inches of visibility when I stopped by last week. Good to see its improving some at least.

Re: Twitching Jigs for Coho article
Great article. That said I think I've found another alternative to finding the "perfect" twitching rod and possibly some even cheaper jigs. Only problem is you can't get the rods locally or even handle them but if the jigs work they can be shipped in. The rods I've handled have great action, are aro...

Re: Techniques for high and fast water?
I was fishing the lower Green where bait is legal and saw people doing things differently than what I was expecting when it came to high, dirty and fast water. They actually kept their weights fairly light and just let the roe drift close and as far down as they could. Everyone was hooking up but me...

Re: Artificial Roe?
I'm new at curing eggs also so I went with a wet technique that I found here on this blog: http://www.theoutdoorline.com/blog/tag/fire-brine/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and modified it for salmon vs steelhead for my salmon cure. I'm sure everyone has their secrets but a wet brine...

Re: Artificial Roe?
Great topic guys! I have been fishing with the xfactor baits for over a year and I can tell you they definitely catch fish. Pretty cool to see my video get put on here :) I have done really well float fishing the large hot red clusters, bobber dogging them, as well as drift fishing them. A little t...

Re: Artificial Roe?
Curious, are any of you doing anything else with the xfactor eggs or just fishing them as is? Just wondering if I should maybe soak mine in some stuff before trying them out.

Re: Artificial Roe?
I've caught plenty of fish on yarn balls and scent, probably more than I have on eggs. As far as fake eggs, they work, but not as well as real ones. I prefer Power Bait Power Eggs. Magic. Store bought eggs fish at about 10% of the effectiveness of home cured eggs. Re-curing them does not do much fo...
