Re: Deep Hooked Fish
Here is a good read with information from Biologists and Doug Hannon. Hopefully a little education will go a long ways on this subject. Proper fish care should be high on our radar and we should all be proficient in that care. These fish are our resource and it's up to us to manage them effectively ...

Think you'll need a boat bigger than 14 inches. Aside from that look into joining one of the local clubs.

Agree with Tom 100%. Water will be very low on Potholes making nearly all of the dunes unfishable. Banks typically fishes pretty good late Sept and early Oct.

Re: bass fishing blind with a topo map on devils (lost) lake
Keep it simple and don't over complicate it. If it was me I would be working outside edges of pads slow rolling a heavy spinnerbait near the bottom. Those fish should be sitting outside edge under the pads for shade and as an ambush point to feed. Any "depressions" or "points" in the pad fields slow...

I also have interest, specifically in Palmer Lake. Anybody know of any lakeside lodging other than the Lodge at Palmer Lake? $500 a night is a bit beyond my budget!!

RE:Tapps lake
When did the County park open? Usually closed till Memorial day. I'd launch out of North Tapps County Park, its also free until May 1st. Decent sized launches and plenty of room to park your rig, that is until summer hits. Then its a bit harder unless you arrive early. Theres a good chance I might see ...

Hey Dez,really appreciate the information you have provided over the years. Not sure if I have a lake size preference but one thing I would like to see and learn more about is the dropshot, more specifically, the proper rigging, knots and proper weights for the type of applications. Maybe even a descr...

I know....just giving you some razz, my man! In reality, you could leave the dropshot rod in the locker, throw the big bait right out of the gate for the entire day, and really put the California smack down on these Northwest fairy wand wielders. Now what you gotta go and call me names for? That wa...

For the last few years my "go to's" have been finesse set ups like drop shot, shakey head, and light C-rigs for Smallies. It's time to get back to power fishing for green fish!!! Spend more time fishing the Pot Holes, Moses, and Banks Tie on and consistently throw larger baits Commit to and become m...
