Re: New Smoker
The only issue with the Masterbuilt Smokers are their ability to ventilate out all of the moisture generated when it's packed full of fish/meat. I do salmon and trout quite often in the smoker, just don't fill up all the racks if you don't want a steam smoked product. I have use mine a couple of ti...

Re: New Smoker
I'm a little late here but I have the same Masterbuilt smoker. The only problems I have with it is keeping it smoking at lower temperatures and the back corners of the racks get hotter than the middle of the racks. One thing you can do to help with that is rotate your racks top to bottom, front to ...

Re: Downrigger rods?
It sounds like I will be going shopping, I have at least a dozen rods and none of them seem right.
All of the medium action rods I have are too stiff. I have a lighter one I may try until I can get a better rod, its a cheap one and not much of a loss if it breaks.

MA 13 Shrimp?
I just picked up a couple of used shrimp pots.
Are there any shrimp in marine area 13?
If so how deep do I need to fish for them?
Is there any kind of structure I should look for?
Thanks, any advice is appreciated.

Re: Squid fishing at night, where? Kitsap county
I am hoping to try squidding later this year.
Is there any place in Mason county to go?
I saw a large school of squid in Hood canal last week while crabbing.
I was about to try there until I saw that its closed.
