Re: 2014 "Trophy Bass Picture Gallery"
Here is a big pig of a smallmouth, estimated at 6.5 (scale had a dead battery), measured 21.5" and very fat. This one is my personal best and it was a big one! Snapped a few quick ones and back in to the water she went. American Lake, March 26.

Re: Regulations Question
Best idea of all, use lures rather than bait. Drop shotting with a small straight worm for bass today at American, I caught a 5 trout limit with the last one going just over 14". The way I read the rules, I could have released that last fish and kept on fishing and releasing any fish I caught until ...

I used to catch crawdads in the storm drains in front of my house in Texas as a kid. Seems plausible to me.

Re: Rookie Help: "When to switch baits..."
I have been a 30 year student of the In-Fisherman formula of fishing first formulated by the Lindner brothers of Minnesotta. F+L+P= Success Fish+Location+Presentation= Success Understanding this basic formula goes a long way to determining what type of lure and what type of presentation and location...

Re: LETS TALK BASS !!
For camera use, when I fish alone (which seems to be most of the time), I remove the rear seat and insert a pole that I rigged up into the pedestal seat base. On the top of the pole I mounted a bracket that holds my phone at the proper angle to take a consistently good photo of myself sitting in the...

Want to borrow a 3-5hp outboard
I am planning a fishing trip the 2nd weekend of September to Twin Lakes near Inchelium and I am taking my little 11' Coleman Crawdad jonboat along with my other bass rig. I really need a small horsepower motor to use for the week on the jonboat. The boat is rated for up to a 5 HP motor but I think t...

Re: Spiney rays
Shore fishing options in Thurston County are very limited. There is a pretty good area at Hicks Lake in Lacey. Pay to Fish at Offut Lake Resort. There is shore access at St Clair at the boat ramps. Other than that, not much available.

Looking for Foot Pedal for Powerdrive Trolling Motor
I have an older Minnkota Powerdrive motor with the flat plug style cable foot control. My pedal is shot- only works for speed control, no turning. Just a shout out to see if anyone has an old motor with a spare pedal. I would hate to spend the $75-$100 for a new pedal on ebay or other retailers. Ple...

Re: Longer rods
I have used a 10' 6" heavy fly rod with a spinning reel taped to it for about 18 years to fish for panfish. I use the Float-N-Fly technique but use a small, 3-4" straight tailed worm like a Yamamoto Kut-Tail with as small a jig as I can get away with. I position the float as far as I can from the ba...

I bet there are already crawfish in there. Never found a body of fresh water in this state without them. As long as the pond has been there for 20 years or more, they will likely already be there. Does the ponbd have a creek o

These are great versatile boats. I bought 2 of them back in '87 and they are both holding up great after25 years. Perfect for the pickup bed, can get into any water.

Re: Algea and Bass
Mikeel1987, I think I know the water you speak of and it has a lot of bass and other panfish in it. It is tough to fish with all the weed clumps. Topwater is a good choice on top of the mats with frogs and mice like others have said but there are open water areas around the shore and in between the ...
