is it worthwhile to go now
I finally will have a week off ....due to school being out for Spring break March 12-17... and was wondering if it would even be worth my time to go up and try for some pike in the PO ...i always fish in early summer through late fall ...but have never fished it early spring except for last years pi...

what I would do is not buy the boat yet.... I know ....thats crazy talk.... but if you save for 6 more months, you can add at least 2 feet to most any boat...and get electronics.... but whatever you do, be happy about it, if you feel like 14 feet is too small (for me its 4 feet too small) then dont ...

sounds like fun...one question though...where is everyone gonna park?....that parking lot is iddy bitty isnt it? or maybe it just always seemed small...also can you camp at the launch right there in that grassy area?

I like the 6 foot 6 GL3 ....never had a problem ...have and ambassador reel with 30 lb... works great.

people were fishing it illegally and the game wardens caught them and confiscated their fish and handed them a ticket ....I think you can only have like 2 over 14 inches or something like that ...they had more than that....and were illegally fishing anyways.

yes it can be done!....it limits where you can go sometimes....it means you will either have to hunt where you can wade out and pick up your birds yourself , use a boat to go and get them or stick to hunting fields and hope you don't wound any birds and have to chase them for 1/2 a mile...but yeah y...

my dad told me when i WAS about 14 ...10 years ago...that he had fished it and caught bass in it a fwe years back....so that was probably 12 years ago that he cought some bass in there.... I dont know who owns it though...but there could be some lunkers in there cuz I dont think many people poke aro...

such a box is a necessity for the spur of the moment fishing, my personal "travel box" always has at least a few senkos, I like the greens and purples, always have a spinnerbait , a blue and black jig n pig (though the pig isn't totally needed) I always carry a popper as well...but this time of year...
