I'm just hoping it doesn't get any more restrictive in the next couple years.

Anybody know anything about this reel: Shimano RX 120 Quickfire
The Shimano RX 120 with spiffy Quickfire action and some kind of removable thing for the line. Lotta knobs, and some have settings.
Got it at an estate sale along with a pole as kind of an extra. Little reel, said "Shimano" and I know absolutely nothing about it.

RE:Edmonds Area9
Do a search in the forum. This topic has been discussed many many times in the last year. Fishing off the pier is spotty at best. Yep. Been there done that. I know people have had some success there, and if you were to go persistently over the year you'd probably catch some stuff. That said, hittin...

RE:Suggestions and advice on how to deal with and avoid the dreaded "DOG FISH"
Gonna jump in late to say that I haven't hooked a dogfish as yet, but if and when I do I'm keeping the dude. Did some research on 'em. The pee taste is a problem if and when you let 'em sit. You have to - HAVE to - bleed 'em and gut 'em ASAP if you're thinking of keeping them. Put 'em in the well an...

Elfin Cove Alaska - good times for all
So then. About three weeks ago, I had the opportunity to take a little trip up to Alaska and Elfin Cove. You go to Juneau, jump on a float plane, travel about eighty miles thataway, and touch down in this little bitty place with no roads or sidewalks and about two hundred people there during season ...

RE:I received this today from my daughter stationed at Bagram Airbase Afghanistan
Interesting post and thanks for it. Good story. Couple things from my perspective cause I'm feeling chatty: 1) Absolutely hats off to those serving or who have served in the military. For the folks still in harms way, be careful and come home safe. Regardless of how anybody might feel about the whys...

Brook trout are awesome. Used to fish little streams when I was a kid in Eastern WA with worms. Good times.

RE:Crab season '09
Tribal crabbing in this area CONFIRMED! I’m very happy with 7 crab in 3 hours but the numbers were definitely depleted compared to last summer which as I said is a clear indication that this area was already heavily crabbed before the season opened for the rest of us. Thank you Governor. I absolute...

RE:WOW...just ...WOW..Will there be crabs left??
Quadfather and I went out today with limited success. Dropped a couple pots north of Golden Gardens and a couple more over by Bainbridge. About a four hour soak or so. The Golden Gardens produced one barely undersized male while the Bainbridge ones produced about six or seven total rock crabs with t...

RE:Suggestions on Good Knot to Attach Float to Line
Not such a silly question if you're "knot" familiar with knots. :-" The typical yellow nylon rope that most people use doesn't hold knots very well. I tie a simple loop at the end of the rope that is large enough to fit the buoy through. Then pull the looped end up through the center of the buoy. O...

Suggestions on Good Knot to Attach Float to Line
So I've got my crab traps, I've got my floats, and I've got my line. Now, the question is how best to attach the float to the line? A pretty important question as if the float doesn't stay well connected to the line, it's see ya later to the trap. Seems to me if I run the line through the hole and t...

RE:Shore fishing & clamming & stuff at Larrabee State Park???
So, I didn't think this merited a full on report, so I'm throwing the followup here. On the shellfishing, it was a total bust. Larrabee's a big park but the beach access is actually fairly limited and oriented to the one spot in the entire bay where you CAN'T get shellfish - Wildcat Cove. That and a...

Sucks. If the house is his, she has no basis to get him to refinance. The answer there is "how about no." Also, if the house is his, she would not appear to have any reason to be wandering about, let alone taking his seperate property. First thing, change all the locks. Second, consider getting a r...

RE:HOW TO MEET ONE ANOTHER...JUST MY THOUGHTS
I still have a standing invitation to Fishingmachine and Curado in my boat. If they bail for whatever reason...of course I would open the seats to others. I think I'll use the PM suggestions as well...thanks guys! Well, I don't know about the condition of your boat, but if folks gotta bail when you...
