half a ring neck phesant - UPDATE - gone!

Update folks; this has been claimed, sent, received, and I believe being used to tie some nice soft hackles! *************** Hi! I had a buddy hand me a bunch of tying supplies which included half a ring neck pheasant "hide", no tail. I don't need it, and rather than just toss it I figured I'd see i...

RE:advice on spinning reel

I've got the Shimano Stradic 2500, got a great deal on it new in box on eBay. Love love love it; solidly built, smooth as silk, never had a problem with it. I upgraded the drag to carbontext for kicks, but it probably didn't need it. One of the things I like the most about it is how easy it is for m...

5.0:1 or 7.0:1?

Hi! I'm going to get myself a new baitcaster for my birthday, and I'm pretty set on one of the new Curados. I can't for the life of me figure out if I should go for the E5 or the E7. I fish from a pontoon boat, and at the moment can only bring two rigs out with me. One is my finesse spinning rig, an...

RE:NEW MEMBERS - INTRODUCE YOURSELF!

Hiya! My name is Ever. I'm 35, and I live in Seattle with my wife and daughter. I got turned on to bass fishing last summer while visiting family in Ohio. The uncle-in-law and myself pulled a ton of dinks out of the family farm pond. such good times! I just bought a rod and reel and a pontoon boat, ...

RE:WTB canoe - but I bought a pontoon boat instead

ya know, that's a good question! Really I guess it's just that I've enjoyed my buddies Old Town, and like the look of those, Mad Rivers, and the like. I'll probably wind up with a coleman off CL. it's a good place to start.

RE:WTB canoe - but I bought a pontoon boat instead

ah yes! I remember seeing that when it was first posted and being super impressed! it's great, but a little above my budget. I'm really looking for something more along the lines of a traditional, simple canoe. The hard core fishing machine will come once my master plan of turning my 18 month old in...

WTB canoe - but I bought a pontoon boat instead

thanks everyone for their replies. wife decided she didn't like the idea of a canoe on saw horses in the back yard (why not?). she convinced me to pick a little pontoon boat. we'll see how it goes! Tight lines. "Hi! I'm looking to buy an Old Town Guide 147 or something similar. Nothing too large as ...
