I was wondering if anyone has been there or in the area this summer.I was thinking of going up there ,but when I looked at the Forest Service website it is no longer listed.Curious if the heavy rains a couple of years ago wiped out the road.
Thank You, Mike

RE:WDFW Q & A Thread - Questions for Stacie Kelsey, WDFW
Hi Stacie, I was wondering if you have any information on whether Council Lake in Skamania County is open for fishing. I looked at the website for Gifford Pinchot National Forest and it is no longer listed in their lake section.
Thank You, Mike.

Go to pure-gas.org. They have a list of stations in the US & Canada that may still be carrying ethanol free gas. I would suggest contacting any station first before going.

RE:Lake Garrett and Arbor Lake in King County
Lake Garret AKA Hicks Lake used to be planted with trout until the late eighties with a few hundred trout planted a couple of times each year.Last time I fished there was early 80's and at that time the lake contained trout, sunfish, bass and the mighty fighting goldfish. The lake is fed by a few ponds...

There is a reason the state needs a flat surface on the front of curvy vehicles. Certain agencies need that flat surface for reliable feedback for collecting revenue.

RE:trout gear questions
I guess what I meant is that its up to the fisherperson whether or not they catch the fish such as tying bad knots ,trying to bully the fish on too light of line test, trying to set the hook too early......
You could tie some string to your finger to catch fish if you want and still screw it up.

If you are wondering if you can use the spinning reel on your flyrod than the answer is yes.It is an odd feeling not having a butt end of the pole behind the reel and takes getting used to. As for whether the 5/6 flyrod can handle triploids, well yes it can ,but it is always up to the person controli...

Maybe someone should invent a way to use an exploding dye pack like they use for bankrobbers.
Catch them redhanded.

If you want a freaky scary scene,go fish off Bill Gates's dock and get the staredown from the armed guards politely asking you to vacate the area now.

Metsker Maps are also great for finding places. If you learn to look for the range and township markers it pinpoints where you are. They are those 3-4 ft white posts you see when driving backroads. they are used to mark the corners of a grid 1 mile by 1 mile( the squares you see on a map) T-tonwnship...
