16ft Starcraft Mariner for sale - SOLD

I have a job change and household move coming up, so I’m looking to sell my boat and plan to upgrade in the near future. This is the boat I bought from Matt (long-time WA Lakes member) about 2 years ago, so this ad may look familiar (I copied and pasted some of Matt’s original posting). The main dif...

Re: Boston whaler trolling help

You might consider a bow-mount arrangement, if you have the space and access to make it work.

Re: Covered public fishing Docks?

Wyatt Park on Lake Stevens (Snohomish County) has some cover. But get there early to get a spot. And be prepared for a $7 parking fee.

Re: Fly fishing in winter?

You can fly fish anywhere you'd normal fish. In open lakes, and rivers for the same species you'd fish for other ways. There are searun cuts and steelhead in the rivers right now. Try the Green river up by Flaming Geyser. In addition to Nate's suggestions, there are dozens of small lakes in the imm...

Re: Schecter Diamond Series Classic Guitar

no worries, I'm mainly a Fender guy. I have a project strat I want to update with a new neck and pickups. The Schecter is a great guitar, just not my style. [thumbup] Amen Mike! I have a C-1+ Diamond (pictured in my avatar). Beautiful, versatile axe. But my favorite is a Squire Strat that I bought ...

RE:Whats the story behind your screename?

No mystery in my story. My main passions are guitars and fishing (not necessarily in that order). My alter-ego name was inspired by some of my significant-other's photographic sleight of hand. In my avatar pic she managed to capture a mirrored image of my Sage RPL reflected off a shiny humbucker pic...

RE:'Don't let your children become hookers', says PETA....

There is always someone who feels the need to take a movement to the extreme. I understand the basic priciples of the PETA organization. However, to apply it towards fishing and hunting is just moronic. Fishermen and hunters dispatch their catch in a much more humane way than most any other animal....

RE:Fly fishing in winter?

I have my best success of the year on the low-land "wet side" lakes during the winter and early spring months. Usually stripping leeches, buggers, or slow-moving chironomids. If there's open water, you'll find me out there on weekends on the pontoon. BTW - I'm talking about the waters that are lega...

RE:We Did It

We went out again tonite for a repeat. We were humbled. It was like no fish action. It was much sunnier and alot more boat movement that I attribute to the not so good fishing. We will keep trying. We saw Guitarfisher out there and said hey. He at least caught something. Hehehe ..Till the next day. ...

RE:Wa.Lks Derby - ANNUAL PICNIC!

We had a great time with the WALakes gang at the picnic. And for those who didn't get a chance to meet her, here's the "girl" - Sonia - who kicked all our asses in the casting contest (except for Gringo, of course ;) I'm not surprised. She kicks mine frequently. The first time we went fishing togeth...

I've recently picked-up quite a few perch on Flowing still-fishing nightcrawlers along the northwest side of the lake. Also a few on soft plastics and wet-flies.

RE:~~New Life for an old Smoker Craft ~~

I run a Minn Kota Power Drive V2 55lb thrust bow mount on my 16' Starcraft. I postition the footswitch midship near the steering console and still have plenty of cable to spare. If you're looking to spend <$600, keep your eyes open for deals on clean one-owners. A new PD V2 with digital maximizer (f...
