Re: Absolute cheapest humpy lure
Look on Ebay. You can buy large quantities of 3/8 oz jig heads and pink hoochies (separately), which in total will come out to less than $1 each. I just saw 50 jigs for $7. Find a similar amount of hoochies and you're looking at about .25/each. How do you tie on the pink hoochie skirts to the jig h...

Fished Saturday morning and I got skunked again. Marked tons of bait but couldn't put a fish to the boat.

Alder Lake Camping
I'm looking for some information on Alder Lake. Was planning on taking my small aluminum boat down with a few buddies for Memorial Day Weekend, part my truck and trailer in an available campsite and try tofind our own rural place to camp across the lake. Only problem is none of us have ever been to ...

Re: Belize Fishing Experience?
I spent my honeymoon in Belize, on Amburgies (sp?) Key. I did go out with a guide to fish the reef. We caught a lot of trigger fish, and other 3-5lb varieties. You have plenty of great information from people above. I was just going to say that as far as packing your own rods down there, just go ge...

Re: Belize Fishing Experience?
I am probably going to state things that you are already taking. A pair of shoes that you can wade the flats in, sounds like many active species on the flats. A quality pair of polarized sunglasses for spotting fish. Maybe topwater plugs for snook? I would also bring an extra spool of line for each...

Re: Belize Fishing Experience?
I have not fished Belize, but have fished the Quintana Roo area of Mexico (just north of Belize) a few times. A lot depends on where you are. Close to shore there is a lot of opportunity for flats fishing for Bonefish, Barracuda, Permit, Tarpon & Snook. Then you have your deep sea stuff which can b...

Belize Fishing Experience?
I'm heading to Belize in the beginning of April(specifically the Stann Creek district) and was wondering if anyone has experience fishing that area. Various sources suggest bringing our own gear but I'm curious as to what rods/reel combos I should pack along. If you have knowledge of the area/fisher...

A "bunch" does not all make, skagit510. I don't care how you act as a "visitor", it's never acceptable to respond with terrorism. There are a few notorious locals out there who will break into your rig if you don't follow their self imposed "rules". I haven't had any issues either, but I've come ba...

Re: Winter Steelhead 2013/2014
It's going to close in two weeks anyway. It's the end of the line. Definitely a lackluster steelhead season for the "S" River systems. I have had to work for them, but almost every trip out I've caught fish. The Snohomish has been the best by far, so I'm lucky that that's my home river. There has o...
