plug patterns for new plug fisherman

Post by tommyhydro » Tue Apr 01, 2014 6:15 pm

I am trying to put together an effective assortment of plugs for the Hoh river for winter steelhead. I have drifted oxbow to the shake mill one before but never pulled plugs and plan on making another trip out there for a winter steel drift next February or March. Just trying to get an ok set together without buying 3 if every color. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Dr. Death 3.5 mag lip (cerise black bill) is one of the only plugs that gets ran in my boat. Also Metallica Blue Pirate and the Misty River.

When the water is really low and clear I will Switch over the the Brad's Wee wiggler, with #013 and #020 being favorites

I run braided line on my reels. I add a 6' chunk of 20# mono onto the end of my line and attach it to a duo lock snap and attach the plug to that
