break in

Post by natetreat » Thu Sep 11, 2014 3:20 pm

Some fing a$$hate broke into my rig last night. Missing is all my fishing gear that was in it. A pair of small simms g4z waders, a simms guide sized backpack, an Okuma rod with a well used Curado 201e7, and a bunch of assorted tackle, line, bait. If you see it pop up on the forums, here or craigslist, let me and the authorities know Stolen from Lynnwood.

Hate that. Hope you get it back, or at least they get what they deserve.

That sucks...had that happen to me once...lost a bunch of gear, and 2 rods/reels (one of which wasn't mine...and wasn't easily replaceable)...

It's my house! that's why. Anywhere else, no, but at my house I expected it to be safe. I should have known better, with all these new gangster neighbors moving in and dragging down the neighborhood. I'm too mad right now to think about that.

Sorry to hear it Nate...they don't call it LynnHood for nothing. J/K...seriously, it could happen anywhere. I never leave valuables in my rig.

Nate - I'm empathize with your anger and frustration. I had my car window smashed in right in my drive way at home and I had absolutely nothing in the car. Fortunately, I had an alarm in the car and it scared the puke off. Unfortunately in today's society, this can happen any where.

Happened to me last night, no joke. Waiting for an appt to have the window repaired today, apparently there's been a rash of break ins lately. Truck was parked right next to my house in S Seattle. He/she/they didn't get much,an old gps that will get them lost and the owners manual with my registration and proof of insurance. Not sure why they took that but makes me nervous. Will be monitoring my credit, they already know my address obviously. What a way to start a weekend.
On a lighter note, my wife left a case of Miller 64s in the truck which they didn't take. Told her that stuff was crap, she was a little offended they didn't take it.

Nets? Electricity? Fish hooks? Banana peels? Rock salt? Moving vehicles? Deep pits? All of the above?

LOL it's good to see some humor come out of a real bad bummer of a situation for Nate (especially liked the Miller being untouched).

Hoping something shows somewhere for you Nate [-o< , nothing worse than having stuff taken from right under your house's nose. Even with insurance these days making a claim can cost you more if they decide to bump your rates up. Sometimes just can't win... Unless you're the Seahawks.

Good luck on the water all.

cameras are useful and all, but sometimes another form of home defense is a better "deterrent" my room is right in front of all the cars and one time a real bright fellow tried to pry my car door open, this was the second attempt, the first attempt he managed to run away in time, but he tried again, and wore the same flamboyant basketball shoes and hat, but he didnt notice i was awake and had the windows open, so i greeted him with my little friend, then i introduced myself, and about fifteen minutes of awkward silence and waiting, mr officer came along and took him on a grand tour of the station haha, times are getting really bad sadly,
