new guy here!!

Post by viva_che1363 » Sun Oct 02, 2011 3:46 pm

hello everybody, ive been cruzin this site and form for about a year now, a lot of great information and reports from everybody. i finally decided to post and ask a few questions about the silver run. i mainly fish the snohomish and skykomish rivers and i have been killing the pink up until the last two weeks, since them i havent even been able to get a bite. now that the silvers are showing up im just wondering what should i sure as far as lures bait, ive got a good arsenal of dicknites, corkys, eggs, etc. im not looking for any secrets, just what you guys use to get these fish to the bank. any info would be greatly appreciated!!!
thanks

Welcome to the site. I didn't want you to think nobody was going to answer your question... I don't fish rivers, or at least, VERY rarely. My advice is to go to the river report section (Past Reports) and read through the reports for the rivers you fish. You will find all kinds of info. that will help.

Vibrax spinners work well, eggs under a bobber, I know from a boat Plugs work well, ive never fished that system, im sure Matt will chime in here soon and he will lead you in the right direction !

Have done well with just plain ol corky and yarn with a decent leader and 1/2 oz cannon ball weight.

seems like the more simple the bait/lure, the more fish i can get on. now i just need to get out there again and catch some more
