Northwest Fishing Reports

I'll be in the Leavenworth area (fish lake) this coming weekend, and understand a lot of rivers and streams are opening up that same weekend. Is there any great place anyone wanted to give a shout to try out? I usually just fish rainbows. But am trying to be more involved in fishing as I take my father out more, And hoped someone could help us out? Lookin for shore access and some easy advice on what to use. Thanks!

The Icicle is open for spring kings, and the hatchery is right there in town with bank access. That would be a great idea, those kings are fun and delicious. And definitely not trout!

^ +1 I've had good luck in previous years on the Icicle, and as Nate said bank access is a plus. With it being the week after memorial day it shouldn't be too crowded.

do i need that columbia river endorsement to fish the icicle? i heard that pretty much every river on the east side needs that now.

Yes, it's needed for the Columbia and anything that flows into it.

Thanks for the responses. I dont really have the gear Im sure for that to happen. So Im open to any reccomendations? Sorry if this seems like beginner stuff. I really am as I try to get more versed into whats going on with this stuff. Lb test? tackle? Ive never fished on a river/stream for salmon.
