Does anyone have experience with jigging for kokes? I am going to try it pretty soon and was wondering if anyone has some tips. Ive heard people having success using buzz bombs and corn. Will most likely go to angle lake

P-line has some special "kokanee" jigs that are pretty much just the dart style jigs. I have jigged for kokes in the past and it can be a blast once you get the feel down for it. They will sometimes just crush a jig and come flying out of the water!
I usually jig for them early in the morning. Look for jumpers and chase them down and cast to them.

You probably want to go check out the parking situation before you head there with your rig to Angle Lake. They're doing "park enhancement" construction at Angle and messed it all up for us anglers. I've haven't been, too disgusted with the situation, but there's a thread with reports that say it's pretty messed up. I'll break down before the end of June (projected end of construction) and go see for myself. Just a heads up.

There was recent talk (other forums) of them moving some fencing to provide a little parking.

That'd be sweet! Will have to check in on it, I love that lake. Happy catching Toni!

For what it's worth, I used to catch a lot of kokanee casting and jigging back a Kastmaster from the dock on Angle lake.
I would throw it out there as far as I could get it, let it sink for a good 10 seconds (it's a deep lake), then jerk/retrieve it back like a buzzbomb. They always hit it on the drop.
I'm bummed I won't be able to hit that lake this year....

I use a buzzbomb for kokanee quit often on American Lake and have been very successful.
