Looking for advice on access up on the S F Snoqualmie River......are there preferred places to "jump in" so to speak or is there a lot of private land issues. The Google Map survey I did seems to show a lot of potentially interesting structures for fun C&R of resident trout up there. Any inputs appreciated. The Middle Fork is a traditional choice but the access is limited now to just weekends and I was looking for an afterwork jaunt! Thanks in advance.

I'll have to follow the responses here since I havent been up there yet. I live in Bellevue and that location seems like a short drive

Tinkham Road has many access points to the south fork. However with that said, the area is a bit crowded, especially on weekends. Although the camp spots are spread out....There is also a FS camp ground up there that get you more access as well. But get up there on a Thursday evening or Friday morning and you have a good chance of a camp spot. ITs not back country by any means, but is just outside North bend so its fairly close. You can grab a camp spot even for the day and wade up and down river for quite a bit.

Look on Google maps where the S. Fork goes under W. North Bend Way. I park right there by the bridge. There is a little pull out area. You can see it via Google Maps. You go back in the bushes and make your way to the river. Ive only fished it once, but the other time I was there I filmed fish under water with my GoPro. There are some fishy looking spots on the upside of the bridge.
Edit: There was no access issues in this area. I also see Riverfront park nearby, have not checked that out...?

Thanks for all the great responses! I will continue to explore and see what options there are. We went up to Exit 38 tonight and fished until dark - walked in about a 1/4 mile (?) to some nice riffle/run/pool sections - lots of little guys, hit anything small & dry, good water structure to practice reading - had a beginning fly fisher with me and it was great for her to work on the casting mechanics, drift a fly, and get a fish response even if they are a bit on the small side. Everyone had a great time and are anxious for more opportunities. Thanks again for the inputs!!
