Lake Goodwin
Any thoughts on Lake Goodwin? Where are some good areas for large and small mouths? Is the trout fishing worthwhile?
Thanks
Thanks

Where are some good areas for large and smallmouths? all around the shoreline and rock piles in the middle someplace
Is the trout fishing worthwhile? don't know, I don't fish for them.
Thanks
Tom.

Here is a link to the map hosted on this site. Smallmouth and Largemouth can be found here. For smallmouth look for areas that have quick access to deeper water and contain rocks and boulders. There are several points around the lake that fit this description.
I have not chased largemouth here but I hear they can be found at the north end of the lake. Send me a PM if you have any specific questions.

RE:Lake Goodwin
how bout catchin them?
RE:Lake Goodwin
Goodwin is definitely a worthwhile fishery. Best time is when it is rainy, cold, or slightly off season. The public launch doesn't open early enough for fisherman to get out and beat the summer crowds so if you fish during the spring/summer expect LOTS of loud boisterous company. For some odd reason ski boats seem to like to come within 10 feet of fisherman when they are buzzing around too.... don't know why buy its just genetically predetermined in their brain that that is what must happen.
Holdover rainbows to 5 lbs + and excellent bass (smallies and largies) as well as a great pan fishery with bluegill and perch very prolific.

There are a couple/three crawdad threads that'll tell you how to do it, where to do it, what to do it with, what to do for bait in the trap, and when to do it.Whidbeyfisherman wrote:how bout catchin them?
