Taidnapam Park Bridge

Any idea if the fishing bridge at Taidnapam Park is fishable? Never been there and not sure what the low water conditions might mean for fishing. Have grandkids in town and would like to get them a few fish. I've had luck at the dam, but talked with a gentleman yesterday afternoon who had no fish for quite a few hours trying. Thought about the other end of the lake, but I hate to drive all the way there only to find things high and dry. Tacoma Power recording gives lake level, but I don't know what that means in terms of the bridge. Thanks for any info.

Thanks for that! I actually tried calling them, but the recording didn't mention the bridge. A live supervisor is available between 8AM-9AM so I'll try that this morning. Got some info from a local sporting goods supply yesterday. Sounds like the bridge is fishable regardless of the water level, as it's situated more on the river than the lake. Or so it was explained to me. Couldn't generate much enthusiasm from the kids at 5 this morning with the SNOW falling here above Winlock. Nothing major and none sticking, but a bit raw for kids. We'll try later in the day. Should have put off chores and fished yesterday. Oh well... Thanks again.

now, imagine the water level about 40-50 feet below the water level in that pic. usually around late May, the silvers start running up the river. but ive never tried this time of year... with the water level so low, its no longer a lake at the east end. just a river.
