Anybody know what these are?
I'll wont be back back in Washington for about a week or two so I've been fishing some of these Oregon waters. Caught quite a few of these odd fish in the Grande Ronde.
It seems that there were two different species, one with a more normal mouth and one with a somewhat sucker type mouth. I cant tell if theyre squaws, chubs, minnows, whitefish, etc... Any help here? If they're in Oregon I know theyre in Washington.
Thanks! (hopefully these images work)

It's a northern pikemonnow or a peamouth chub. bony, noxious nasty fishes, known for salmon fry destruction. Snap their neck and use 'em for fertilizer!

Re: Anybody know what these are?
The bottom one is not the Pikeminnow. It is a Peamouth Chub. The size of the mouth is one of the easiest distinctions between them. The Peamouth is not supposed to be bad for the salmon and trout fry and is probably worth releasing.

The Peamouth suck up salmon eggs. They dont eat the fry but they do eat the eggs. Do like Nate said. Great fertilizer.

From top to bottom:
1 - Northern Pike Minnow looks to be in spawning colors.
2 - Peamouth Chub also looks to be in spawning colors.
3 & 4 - Can't say for sure what that is. Looks too big to be a peamouth and doesn't have the right coloring, scale size or shape of mouth. I'd lean towards tench, but the scales don't look small enough and I thought they had dark colored fins.
Perhaps Smalma can provide a positive ID.

Bottom 2 look kinda like a chiselmouth
Re: Anybody know what these are?
Heck just about any fish will eat fish eggs (whether they are from a salmon or not) and the Peamouth is a native fish. At any rate it's definitely some sort of chub. I'll stick with my original suggestions.

Thank you schu7498, it was driving me batty as I've never caught one but the description of the fish, especially its mouth, was lurking in the recesses of my brain and trying to work through all the stuff that is stuck up front.
Re: Anybody know what these are?
Thanks everybody. I had never caught a peamouth or chiselmouth before. That squawfish is by far the darkest one I have ever seen/caught
