Well getting there is easy enough. follow Francis west until you get to the 9 mile dam. here you can turn left at the bridge over the dam and go up the road a couple of miles till you see state park signs on your right, thats 9 mile resort. Or you can not turn at the dam and continue straight. about a 1/4 mile past "Spokane house" there is a small boat launch sign. You can turn left there. Unfortunately they have recently put up a "no fishing on dock" sign that really upsets me, but there are several cut outs along the water you can try your luck at. Or thirdly you can keep driving into Tum Tum and well past it, there are several places you can just pull off the road and fish.

Your best bet is to get on the water, but I frequently bank fish (no boat :-({|= ) and do well. Spend alot of time catching suckers and squawfish, but a 3+ lbs. fish of any species is fun to me. you can still hook into the ocassional smallie and there are plenty of pan fish in that water.

Hope that helps...

Cheers,

PJ

Grubs under a bobber off the dock at the nine mile resort produces perch now that the weeds are coming up. Consider getting a very cheap canoe/kayak/rowboat, as there are lots of good places to fish within 5 minutes of rowing.

Tumtum at the turnouts is always popular and effective.
