RE:Lake roosevelt Walleye
Actually, next week the walleye fishing in the Spokane Arm closes March 31st until June 1st. I've heard walleye fishing is off due to high water conditions.
From the 2008-2009 Fishing Regs pamphlet (in effect thru April 30th) off the WDFW website.

BM3K,
Relax dude, Lake Roosevelt is open all year for walleye fishing. The only part of the Spokane Arm that has a season is above the HWY25 bridge and it is open until the end of this month. This time of the year go with jigs and crank baits. If you troll the crank baits any speed as long as it isn't slow should be effective. You'll cover more water and the walleye will slam these baits if you get it close to them.

The mouth of the river(SR-25 Bridge) upstream is what hewesfisher was talking about. Porcupine Bay is miles upstream from the bridge, and the Walleye season closes in 6 days and opens again on June 1st.Bassmaster3000 wrote:I'm talking about LAKE ROOSEVELT. BM3K, I posted a report on the Spokane Arm not too long ago. It was really high and muddy water and the fishing was SLOOOOOW. 20 other boats on the water and no one was talking about catching fish. On the bright side, I hear it is supposed to heat up this weekend. Instead of following this advice, I am heading up north to Kettle and the Kettle mouth I think. A guy I talk to said he killed them up there....we'll see. Good luck to ya

Bassmaster3000.
Try down river by 7-Bays or back in Hawk Creek.
Tube jigs and Crawlers have worked down there for years.
Try the points just down river from 7-Bays.
If you head back into Hawk Creek, check out shallow water.
This time of the year there will be some fish up tight.
