Point me, Grant County...
Last summer I bought a house just blocks from Banks lake.
I fish this lake a lot, mostly spring bass and rainbows. That I know.
Put some nice perch slabs on the skillet off the Coullee City docks in Sept/Oct.
Now here we are, sliding into the deep winter.
I hear a lot about the Whitefish fishing. Never caught one, always like to try something.
Met a couple of guy on the breaks of the Boat Basin, they had caught some the night before, however we had a communication issue.
So, I can shore fish, or I have a suitable boat.
I'd not mind getting a few, try smoking them, or pickling them.
To be honest, never really heard of a whitefish till this year.
Any other local fishing advice is welcome.
Looking forward to hitting the river for winter bows, then living in heaven next season for Trout, bass, walleye, panfish. Or just soaking up the rays trying.
Thank you in advance.

No one?
Ok.. Other than location.. How about just tips?
Bait?
Lurks?
I hear of night fishing?
Lamps?
Looking at giving it a whirl in a couple of weeks, but surely over Christmas.

Banks whitefish south end off the docks at night mealworms or maggets...
Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught....

Really right off the dock? Heck I could walk there.

Depending on weather I'll give it a try mid month.
Crazy wind last weekend!!
As for a spare room, life is to short to not make new friends.
