Anybody know where I can take my grandson in the Auburn/Kent/Puyallup valley area? Even one of the pay for fish ponds would be okay but I would prefer to go to a public area.
My grandson is only 3 so his attention span is alot less than "Pappa's". In other words, I need to have him catch his fish quick, regardless of the size!
Thanks

DeCoursey Pond in downtown Puyallup does ok with stocked rainbow trout, best methods are powerbait or pieces of bread.
located at the 1800 block of 7th ave s.w.
Bradley is another great spot on South Hill
Trout lodge is great for the kids, its located in Orting(a bit of a drive) I've taken my son here a few times,he enjoys it
very much.

Mill Pond in Auburn is a 14 and under pond. I know it gets stocked 3-4 times a year. There is a park right across the street with a play ground, Roegner Park, and a few miles of walking trail. Its at the South end of Auburn, not far from Lake Tapps.

Here is a link to the Department of Fish and Wildlifes KID page. They list a pond in kent too.

Thanks to all of you. It really is about family and not about our vanity. It is not about the size of the catch. It is more importantant about the lasting effect it makes on family memories.

to be honest if your looking to hook up with alot of fish take them out to the piers on the sound cause no matter what u fish with u can almost always catch a bullhead or a shiner perch or even some shakers. when me and my kids want to catch fish, and don't care to take any home, thats where i take them. worms, shrimp(cooked or raw) herring (fresh or frozen) even those berkley gulp synthetic plastics fished off the bottom will produce a few bullheads. me and my kids have a blast just catching anything. good luck:cheers:

As mentioned, DeCouresy Pond, which also gets stocked with hatchery salmon (at least it has in the past). This is always fun for the kids to see the fish swimming around. There are some old reports from trips I took with my kids, check them out.
