I'll be heading to one of the two lakes tomorrow, if weather allows. anyone have any tips for which spot i should hit?

I went to larson last week and wasnt getting any bites but a buddy of mine told me skip the dock and fish one of the shore openings and throw some plastics around the lilypads so I'll try that out.

I've never been to phantom however, anyone familiar with Phantom and where I should hit for those fat bass?

Anything helps :)
Gracias.

I've only fished Phantom from the public dock but have done well there for perch, crappie, and some nice largemouths. Try a 3" earthworm colored senko around the pads there for the bass. Everything else will eat a small 1/16th tube bait. On Larson the south shore seems to be best for the bass. You can spot them on beds pretty easy too (sometimes they will be right at your feet). I don't fish for bass that I can see bedding but they are there if you do and they do not spook easy here. Senkos, white buzz or spinnerbaits, and 4" Zoom lizards in a greenpumkin work great on the bass in Larson. There are some hogs in that little lake. Try the east shore too. The next week or two should see a lot bass moving up shallow in Larson.

hey tnj,

i went over to Larson today around 6PM til 8 PM and didnt get any bites! I was skippin around the lilypads with some soft plastics arund the dock but nothing :/

It was raining however and water levels semmed alot higher, not sure what effect that has on bass.

I'll def be trying it out again sometime soon on a sunny day. Maybe we can meet up and you can show us some tips. I need some guidance with my soft plastics...thing gets snagged every minute haha.
