We are taking a trip to Lake Morton for a few days and I'm wondering if anyone spends much time fishing this lake and could offer some advice on what baits and such work best for the trout and bass. We will be fishing from a private dock and are hoping to have some good results.
Thanks in advance!
Anyone fish Lake Morton in King County?

RE:Anyone fish Lake Morton in King County?
I lived a mile from Morton for several years and fished it a lot in those days. Nice, quiet lake to visit.
If you are dock fishing, I'd suggest Power Bait about 24 to 30 inches up from the bottom. Cast to several different areas from the dock and move the baits occasionally by dragging them a few feet at a time to attract fish.
Bassing on this lake would require a boat or some floating device to get you from dock-to-dock while throwing jigs or plastics.
Talk to the neighbors around the area you will be staying and they should have some valuable input as well. Let us know how you do.

Never let the TRUTH get in the way of a good fish story!!

There aren't any public docks, sounds like he's staying with friends/family.
we trolled and caught fish on morton, and had nibbles up under the docks as well. I think general lake fishing rules should land you just about anything. I do believe the lake was stocked a few weeks ago too.
with the warm weather I noticed people are casting as far as they can away from the shoreline to get their bait deeper as well.

I did well trolling a wolly bugger there this year. Lots of trout average size. Good luck!
