Cannon Mag10Hs

Post by bigfish » Wed Jun 27, 2007 10:52 am

I recently upgraded my down riggers to the new Cannon Mag 10HS with positive ion control after selling my older generation Mag 10's, and I must report they are awesome! Retreival rate is amazing, Cannon was recently bought by the parent company of Minkoto and now have a belt drive motor built by some peoplewho know a few things abou electric motors! Telescoping boom if the need arises and quick stop when the ball reaches the surface are all pretty handy as well. Positive ion control can't hurt your odds either. Soon the "black box" will be available for all makes and models of sonars so you can control them from the helm as well, botttom track and all up, which will be nice when I'm fishing with the little guys and one of them hook up, one push of a button and one less obstacle for them to negotiate their own personal World Record to the boat!

Those are nice riggers you have .

I upgraded this year to a pair of mag 20 DTs..they are interlinked with my huminbird fish finder through a cannonlink downrigger controller..just new on the market this spring..took most of the summer to work out the bugs or i should say learn to opperate the system. but now i can't believe what an awesome setup it is..my wife runs the controller..while i man the riggers.. works great..course had are share of major backlashes at first...but the bottom tracking works wonders on those bottom hugging macks in the hot weather. great system
