Local Registration Number Maker?

There's plenty of online vendors but looking for someone local so I can get it right away since I need it.
Just got my plates and tab, so 1 month. And now my temp tag is expired, so I cant order my numbers online.

I guess I'll just go the individual letters and numbers route. What's the coast guard guide line for these?

What I did. Note the reference AMX posted. WA does require boat registration sticker be placed specifically as described with information accompanying stickers.

When you get the registration decals there are instructions on the back of the card.

I bought a set of Shoreline numbers and letters decals.

I was a bit hesitant to go this route bc I didn't think I could line things up and make it look good.

It went pretty easy once I found a process that worked for me. I saw a youtube video of the guy removing the backing of just the number/letter and then lining up each block on the hull and pressing the stuck on number/letter onto the hull and removing the surrounding,

Well this technique didn't work for me bc I couldn't remove the backing cleanly.

I looked at the side of my hull where I would attach the numbers. Looked at what I would use to align them. Decided I'll use the bottom of the tunnel to align. About 3/8" below it.
Started on port side with the W. I removed the letter completely. This was a big mistake lol. So many close edges. Made it hard to line up and prevent sticking together but I managed to get it on cleanly. Got to the next letter and decided to peel the top 1/3 of the letter, then fold the backing. This allowed me to use the side edges of the block to align vertically too.

Looking over the work, I can tell it's not 100% perfect but it's good enough for government work.

I use masking tape for a reference line, but I did stickers/decals for years when still punching the clock as a bodyman.

Cut out your numbers/letters. Arrange on table how you want them. Run masking tape over the top of the arrangement until it is entirely covered like a sheet of masking tap over the numbers and letters. You can now lift the masking tape up with the letters attached, turn over and remove the adhesive backing and any remaining non letter vinyl pieces ( called weeding ).

Take this masking tape and letter contraption and adhere to the side of the boat. Burnish to make the letters stick to the boat and slowly remove the masking tape. Your done.

Better yet. Go to any sign shop and have them cut the letters and create this for you. This way you can choose the font and color(s) you want.
