Powering Scotty dowrigger in home shop

Post by Maltby » Sun Jan 31, 2021 2:45 pm

Is it possible to convert household current so that I can run my downrigger in my shop?

Sure, just need an AC/DC converter or an automotive battery charger with amp output equal to or greater than current draw for weight used.

The standard depth power would need a max of 8amps with 15lbs, while the high performance models would need almost 15amps for same weight.
