Hello,
I would like to buy a trolling motor (30lb) to my small boat. My concern is the battery. What to look for? What would be the performance of regular car battery? Is there a big difference between deep cycle and regular car battery?
Thanks
Mario

RE:Trolling motor battery
Deep cell only. The difference is the cranking amps and running time. I got a trolling motor for sale pm me also have a like new battery.

Basicly, get the biggest one you're willing to carry and pay for.

RE:Trolling motor battery
Here's a good post we had in the past on trolling motor batteries. Be sure to check out the links I posted in that thread, you will learn something about batteries that will help you make good decisions. You absolutely do not want to use a car battery.
