I'm a Washingtonian living in Texas. This winter and spring have been great for bass fishing down here, at least for numbers if not for size. Since I'm a Washington trout fisherman I've been using spinners and spoons instead of bass worms and doing very well. When the water's not hot and the sun isn't too bright they can be found near the shore and shallow enough to hit topwater lures. Here's some from Medina lake, which is probably the prettiest lake in Texas and reminds me a tiny bit of Washington reservoirs.
