go look into the "Saltwater Reports" section. Look under area 9. You can see the whole history. FYI though, check the regs. before you go. Lincod have a very short season, and I can't recall the cabezon season limits... but you know it isn't going to run long.

Do a search in the forum. This topic has been discussed many many times in the last year.

Fishing off the pier is spotty at best.

Yep. Been there done that. I know people have had some success there, and if you were to go persistently over the year you'd probably catch some stuff. That said, hitting it now and then is probably not going to mean success.
The fish. They are laughing at me. Can you hear them?

well usually the first week of lingcod fishing at the pier is best because everyone fishes the opener week and then it dies because the lingcod population at the dock is extremely large plus you have people who think they can just take their little paddle boats scanning the breakwater walks making some of us very mad and just ramming over our line... if you had a boat you would have better chance at maybe lets say golden gardens? the other side of the breakwater and if you don't it might not be a good spot to cast near the rocks as thats the place the boats come in and out i'd say the best spot would be edmonds at night when there is not as many people and when lings are more active..
See you out there =]

I just hope for those fishing for Ling's off the Edmonds pier this year... that they/we catch legal sized ones (most were too small once the season started) and make sure we put the smaller ones back.
