I haven't been out in the sound so I haven't seen any, but I anticipate an early arrival the rivers as everything has been early this year. I will start scouting for them in the beginning of August in the Sky system.

Creel report showed one last sunday at Redondo... Given how A11 has been lately, I'd take it.

All the reports I've seen have been off the beach. Dumb question, but is there any reason they wouldn't be catchable by boat as well? Is it just more beach goers report their catches on social media?

Just got back from Neah. The pinks are so plentiful that we couldn't even get both downriggers going. Drop one, turn to drop the other and "WHAM" fish on the first one! There are some big ones too. Lot of guys mistaking them for Coho.

As far as catching them from a boat. You can site fish for them by cruising along the shore line and look for the school fining the surface. Then just cast to them. Really fun! Pink buzz bombs work of course, but I really like using a small pink jig under a float. Nothing equals seeing "Bobber down"! You can also troll for them. 8" white flasher with a mini pink hoochie.

Good luck!

Where do you troll for them, area? How deep would you set your bobber?
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

In MA11, troll outside the kelp line at Dalco. 15 to 20 ft in 40 to 60ft of water. Or just long line a buzz bomb. Browns point up to dash is also very good.

I set my jig 6 to 10 feet under the float.

They are definitely in area 9! Got six to the boat yesterday and lost a few more. We had to work for them but they're there.
