Albacore fishing starts when and where?

Anyone know when the albies start to bite? I'm curious of a good charter for tuna,being I live in Spokane it would be a long drive to come up empty handed. All info will be greatly apprieciated. FISH ON!!!

theres no official season cause its no limit year round. i know people go during salmon season (late august) from ilwaco and westport.

Starts when temps get much warmer off the coast. I don't think they will be in close this year because the Columbia will be pumping so much cold water out from this years snow pack. But farther north I hear the water will be warmer and fish will be closer to the shore. Contact some charters and ask them what they think the season will shape up to be like. Contact a few though, get a few opinions.

Like Sam said it usually starts up about this time of year.
However with the Colder temperatures it might take a little longer or you might have to go farther out. They usually update Tuna Fishing on NWWC Radio show (950am) at 6am on Saturday mornings. Last I heard there were a couple people that went out but didn't catch any yet.
