Not sure how big ya are Derrick, so there's not a ton to compare it to in terms of size. 22ish lbs I'd say. Nice fish, no matter how much it pulls the scale down.
All I know is I need some kings...soon. I keep running into thick schools of silvers, haven't found many kings at all.. Only one king thus far this year on the catch record card, I'm hoping I can add a few more to that before the Area 9 quota is full....

Great catch Derrick. Way to start off the season. Looks like she's leaking out her back end. :cyclopsan
I'd say, 33lbs and some change.
What were ya tossing?

Then that could change my estimate a bit. It could hit up near the 30lb mark, my guess is high 20's then.
Did you weigh it? I'm interested in seeing the exact weight of that puppy. That's one big hatchery nookie.

Can you tell me more about it? Like what size buzz bomb? What depth were you casting to? Did you wade out at all? What was the postion of the tide? (Coming in - going out) How long did you fight it? Was there someone there to net it?

Low tide medium sized buzz bomb waded out casted to fairly shallow water, couldn't have been more then 40ft. The fight was short, less then 5 minutes, the fish was really tired already for some reason, any thoughts? guy next to me netted it. by the way he got about a 8-10lb nook as well.

Hatchery = the reason. I've been getting into thick schools of silvers in Area 9, not big, but 4-6 lbers, and the hatchery fish always put up less of a fight then the wild ones. About every time.

Any fish over 20lbs. caught on a buzz bomb is like winning the lottery. You should be in the buzz bomb lures hall of fame for fish caught. Way to go Derrick-- go catch another
