RE:scooby-doo'n a BIG trout on myron lake
fish'd this morning from 9:15am to 9:23am. used one of those fish candies I post'd about. then went over to N. Elton Pond and candied up two trout and a nice perch. myron ice is not really safe yet as it was only 2" at the spot I fish'd.

2" of ice! Your nuts! You better watch Man vs Wild and learn a few ice rescue moves from Bear Grylls!

try fishing 3-4 inch's of ice out in the middle of some big lake in Minnesota and so many fisherman come out to fish around you that the water starts to billow out of you hole putting 2-3" of water over the ice. thats when it gets a little scary.:pale:

thanks for the pics, those are really great keeps ya motivated to get outdoors!
I'd love to give ice fishing a try, it's like a new adventure, but I'm very leary of the ice... always raised to respect water and fear 'thin ice' i'm still a bit nervous about it.

First off, congrats on all the nice fish - especially the first one, but why not post a report in the reports section instead of the forum? I think more people would notice it there and that's what that section is for anyway.... Just a thought. But once again, congrats on the nice haul and keep it up.

Ice fishing will be on alot of or minds and many will be new comers to it. you don't need to spend alot of money on a pole set up. these poles (pre packaged) do just find for a newby to ice fishing and they are great for the kids to use.As you can see, you don't have to worry about the fish being to big.
