Very nice ... keeping my eye on this. Hmmmmm ... the SS Goof Troop may be a good fit.
'course they don't have biscuits and gravy ... but if they did, I bet everyone would eat there.

I have a 16 ft. 50 horse bass boat that is not enough of a boat to fish regular tourney's, but I was wondering could I join you guys and just not use my gas motor?

Cool idea guys, hope the club works out well.

yeah those pumps are pretty darn easy, and not too expensive.

I found out there are no boat size restrictions. Only requirements are electric motor and livewell. With that said, there is a chance we will be fishing electric only lakes as designated by the state. I believe in these lakes your not supposed to even have an outboard attached to the boat.

They are not team tournaments, but there can be more than one person in a boat. Everyone is in direct competition with each other.

So everyone should have in hand a way to keep their fish seperate from the other person's fish when they are sharing a boat and livewell, such as clips for the fish that will identify THEIR fish from the other person's fish kept in the same livewell.

Cman when I talked to Curt who I think is the secretary he told me there are entry fees. Not sure about the weigh in`s but I was told thr tourny`s are just like any other tourny/club. Except for the fact it`s an electric only club. There still a member of B.A.S.S and you also have to be a member just like the big boat tourny`s/clubs. Same rules etc etc.

You can leave the outboard down just don't use it. Then for the lakes that are fished that don't allow gas motors you'll have to take it off. Make up a plywood rudder.

Hey everyone just wanted to make a quick post with some final information on the lake goodwin tournament this coming saturday aug. 21. We are planning on starting the tournament at 7am do to the gates not being open until that time. At 6am if you are interested we will also be having breakfast at the dennys of i5 exit 208. The tournament fee is 25 dollars and will go towards paying out prizes for the best 3 fish total weight and big fish. So all you need is your boat, motor, 25 dollars, and a livewell. If you do not have a livewell, check out pondjumperz.com. They are cheap and easy to create. I have someone coming to the tournament who is willing to pick up extra aerators that he will bring to the goodwin boat launch and sale for 22 dollars (there retail price). Let me know if you have any other questions by either sending me a pm or email at fretzca@gmail.com. Hope to see you out there!

Thanks for the Goodwin details. Fretzca is the secretary/treasurer for the club. This is a great opportunity for those of you interested in the club to come out to Lake Goodwin and join the fun and meet the members.
