Washington State Pond Jumperz - Electric only bass starting up.

Post by bcalvert » Thu Aug 05, 2010 9:56 am

Hello fellow anglers,

A new bass club has been started for all of us bassers on a budget. That's right, the Washington State Pond Jumperz is bringing tournament bass fishing to the average Joe. We are an Electric Motor Only club based primarily in the north sound region (for now). We are hosting events in 2010 but our main focus is on the 2011 season, with a full line of club tournaments and angler of the year points race. We share ideas and tactics on fishing, and boat modifications. No boat is too small, we have 8' dinghy's up to 14' aluminum's in our club.

If you have an interest in tournament bass fishing but feel limited by your current boating situation, this is the club for you!
I am excited to be involved with this group and would invite any of you to check out our website (www.pondjumperz.com). If you are interested in joining with us, send me a pm here or follow the contact information at the bottom of our home page.

i talked with the guy who started the club six months back. sounds like fun for us that can`t afford a bass boat. Was going to join but I don`t have a live well. So I`m gonna have to wait.

Don't let that stop you. Currently I also do not have a live well, but after looking at some of the setups of a couple of the members boats, it is an easy and relatively cheap project to take on.

My first bass boat had a cooler for a livewell. All set up with a tube the full length and worked great. The cooler was bungied to the floor from the handles down to metal loops screwed to the floor. [deck]

I would love to join, but I'm in Pierce County. Skagit is a little too far for me.

Hey skimpy this is the same club I pmed you about six months ago. It`s far for me also but I look at it like this. If I had a bass boat I would be driving far for tourny`s also potholes, banks ect. I`m in as soon as I get a little more info and some specs and info on ice chest live well.

Skimpy,

Right now our members cover Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish, and King Counties. We are looking at lakes for the 2011 season and have been talking about including some south sound lakes.

cool, a great opportunity for the medium sized lakes and smaller boater. I see you have a Goodwin lake tournement coming up. Feel free to use this forum to promote your club and tournements. Good luck!

Shouldn't take any longer than 1/2 hour to install a cooler, then get that pump pictured on their club's web site, and lay out wires to the battery. Getting a timer to run the pump intermiteantly would be best.
